![]() In some cases you may want or also need to reset your computer's netshell, winsock, Hostfile and flush your DNS cache (all to do with your internet connections and vary slightly by OS version you have). Running a regime of adw cleaner, Malwarebytes free, and Hitman Pro trial version, a couple times one after another and then removing the files suggested in this thread should work for most malware / scumware. ![]() (And while you're at it in that Username/Local neighborhood, drop a couple folders down to the temp Folder and tempfile Folder, usually nearly all crap, and occassionally some bad stuff as well - either way you don't need it, its taking up space, and possibly slowing you down ). ![]() Try wacking all of those folders you listed plus the three folders I have listed. ![]() Again this is an old post, but a helpful poster on another thread had suggested that cachefiles and cookies are stored not only in the files you have suggested (with the config html file usually being gone or empty - so nothing unusual there, it may be a structure rarely or no longer used) but also in the two folders for cookies and cookies overlay inside the config file, and - sneakily if you have some scumware - in your users/username/Appdata/Local/Steam folder where you should find a folder called htmlcache.
